A PIRATE'S LIFE FOR ME

Okay, it's not exactly a pirate's life, but pretty darn close. Maybe I'm more of a modern cowboy. Regardless, my life has been a wild ride!

Here's a look at some of my interests and endeavors.

FISHING

It's a family affair.

The entire Hillstrand clan is in it to win it and catch the big one. I grew up with 5 brothers (my poor mother) but we learned from the best and still do. 

FISHING IS

IN MY BLOOD

I could hold a rod and reel before I could hold a pencil. 

Bering Sea born, raised on the wild and eating every fish I caught along the way.

It taught me to respect nature, appreciate it's power and beauty and to never undermine Mother Nature.  

YOU CAN TAKE THE 

BOY OUT OF ALASKA...

You know the rest. I love my home state. And I want to share that love with as many people as possible.

I'm dedicated to education, conservation, tourism and anything else that makes folks aware of all Alaska has to offer. 

​

I'm an Alaska-boy. And the history, culture, and beauty of this state is unmatched.

I mean sure, you have a boat, but have you seen mine? 

I'm not trying to be cocky, but I am immensely proud of my fishing vessel, The Time Bandit.
